Is it dangerous to check domain name availability? I am afraid that after I check the domain I want, a hacker may buy it to resell it later.

Yes! One poor guy got a falling piano on his head after doing a quick domain search.

Pro tip. Always wear a helmet when searching for available domain names.

Don't use the cart to fill with names before you purchase one at a time pay the fee and get the name. If it isn't happening to you then your not picking great names.

Yeah. And if you don't win the lottery - you suck at math.

I am not one to wear a foil hat but I don't believe that front running isn't happening.

Believe me, the names you searched for will not be registered because they have no investment properties.

Any first time domainer is going to buy stuff that they end up dropping. Why not just be end user to your own idea it is your first one and only take it next step might be cheaper learning curve.

Any front running you may detect/suspect will be dismissed as just an unfortunate coincidence. Having experienced unfortunate coincidences I now only search on services I trust. I've never had a problem with NameSilo.

Not in all Registrar. I can give Dynadot credit for not stealing domains, no matter how long you let it sit in the cart. Godaddy is especially notorious in front running.
