Is it better to send your traffic to your sign-up or salespage?

I'm going to invest $2000 into affiliate marketing, have made keywords, researched my payment plans and need some help.

What would be better?

Sending all my traffic to the affiliate program's salespage?

Or

Sending all my traffic to the squeeze page?

I want to try get my money back from my investment which is why the salespage would be good.

But if they don't buy they are gone forever and thats profit down the drain.

But is I get a squeezepage I got them there for a long time and can send them to the salespage but the only problem is it'll take a long time to get my money back from the program and the money is too high to wait on.

Please give me your tips, much appreciated.
