Hey guys,

I'm new to all of this domain buying but just registered golfer.website just got it because it is a single word and it could pretty much describe the content a golfer's website even though mine isn't plural..

Any ideas what it's worth please? Godaddy GoValue is saying $2,122 don't know how accurate that is.

Thanks in advance.

The true worth of anything is only perhaps known, by what someone offers you to let it go.

Thanks and I totally understand that the domain really is only worth what someone is willing to pay.

However I just wondered how accurate those GoDaddy appraisals are.

It could be worth a zillion to someone in 2029. You may repent selling it for $2k in 2018.

They are a VERY rough indication of what a name might be worth, but do not buy or sell a domain based on auto generated numbers. You can also visit namebio for previous sales of similar names, check estibot (you get some supporting data) as well as a couple lesser bots to get other 'opinions'.

At one time I had dozens of .website names but never made any sales worth mentioning. They have all been let go and now I focus on .com extension. Others are doing well with non .com extensions and may be able to offer insight.

Thank you for popping in, I've been looking for .com's but it's hard isn't it.

Where's the best place to list it to get rid?

Where's the best place

For a quick turn, this might be the best place in case there is a .website investor...you may want to edit some posts though. :xf.smile:

Otherwise do like most of us have had to do...just let it expire and chalk it up to learning the business. I have registered hundreds of names I should not have over the years...it's a hard lesson but it makes you a better domainer/investor.

Courtesy of Namebio:
23 reported sales
average price: $346
The odds of a sale are clearly not stacked in your favor.
And if it's really worth that much, why was the name available to register ?

Golf.website would be nice and could sell, but Golfer.website, not so much...

Today, we have so many choises and golfers can probably find a equally good name for just reg-fee.

Sorry, but I think this will be hard to sell... Personally, I wouldn’t renew it, if not sold within a year.
