Is dot Com king forever or all going to change after ICANN shake domain industry next year?

At the end of the the day, even though dot com is king, it means nothing if you don't have a domain name that is highly brandable or a strong keyword or niche.

registering slartybartfastrocksmyworldandlefttesticle.com is pointless even if it is dot com.

Instead of asking the the same question over and over, why not ask...what's the next big niche and can I register a dot com that is keyword strong and brandable?

Dot com is and always will be king....that's why people waste lots of money every year just to have one...no matter how crappy :imho:
