Is DN Transfer with15 more days possible?

Hi all,
I have two indian websites with Name.com. When I tried to renew it I found that I have to pay $ 12 for each domain to get it renewed. I know few registrars who can get it tranfered to another registrar with below $ 8.

But the problem is I have only 15 more days left for the expiries (2012-05-28). Or is it good to continue with the same registrar.

Can I tranfer the domain to my new domain registrar as I have only 15 days left?

Yes, but you need to hurry. IMO and in most cases, e.g., like with go daddy which seems to be the cheapest with all the " transfer coupons/deals" they offer,, they require you do it within 7 days of domain expiration. You should have no trouble if you are doing it now...

To save time, make sure NOW the domains at name(.)com registrar are UNLOCKED
