Imagine some stranger "kindly" contacting your wife to inform her of your business/legal problems. That's stalking, basically. It's what creeps do.

If my husband was a pathological liar and conning a ton of people out of money in his business ventures I would like to know about that. I'm sure most wives of con-men would like to know about something this big that could lead to the police getting involved, lawsuits, bankruptcy, foreclosures, assets being taken away, etc.

It has already been mentioned that people have sent abusive messages to his kids, that's why you need to drop this topic and stop encouraging people to contact his family. They already know and contacting them will make nobody a hero.

Business life = open to scrutiny, he's made himself a public figure and his name into a brand.

Personal life = as described, 'personal', not your business.

It is crossing a clear boundary.

Your suggestion seems to be that we're in control of whether or not refunds are issued. We're not, Adam is. He was stalling and evading and lying long before this thread was ever created. He owes people money that he could be repaying right now if he chose to. He also could have chosen to pay before this thread was created yet he didn't. When you use the word 'blackmail' it makes it sound like Adam is the victim here -- he's not. He can still fix things regardless of what is or isn't said here. He chooses not to. i was a member of DNF, and really joined hoping to learn a few things, but lost ton of precious times to figure out that what he was teaching does not work.

I can't fault those who are pissed off and have contacted his family members about the issues they're having that he hasn't resolved. Maybe if he answered his emails or skype messages and paid people back what they're owed they wouldn't have to go to great lengths to try to get their money back!

As for boundaries they only work when you're running an honest business. You cant expect people to separate business matters from their personal life when some dishonest guy is holding money owed to them hostage which most likely is affecting their livelihood.

Adam should have done a lot of things differently, but to involve his family, who are presumed innocent, is where I draw the line.
