They managed to catch their mistake in time, and many of the other names I had interest in were pulled from the site temporarily for "repricing". I expect them to be back in the next few days.

I'll note additionally that I have received 4 emails back from iREIT sales reps on domains that I inquired about several months ago.

A flurry of sales rep responses all of a sudden goes in-hand with their listing activity.

maybe related to the drop in parking

I wouldn't be surprised if it's an effort to boost revenues while they are being looked at by a potential buyer.

I think fundamentally, its signaling a shift in domain monetization. When the big guys start to change the way they do business, it should say something about the direction of our industry.

It seems without development, domains simply dont generate the revenue any more they used to. This in large part to the big three focusing more on "user experience"

Fabulous is also putting up for sale a large chunk of its portfolio.... Coincidense?

Looks like they may have been trying to sell for a while now, I just looked at about 1000 of their names parked for sale in Mr Google

....A few nice ones like hivpositive.com

Future of parking?

Not a coincidence, IMHO ... and I concur with your point regarding the question of stable and sustainable monetizations, in the absence of real developments, as well.

These guys were supposedly on a buying spree not to long ago.... any insiders with the real story behind the sale?

Looks to be a lot of dilution coming into the market...

Righto.
Increased supply ... with less (or equal) demand; not a good near-term mixture, IMHO.

So would you buy Overwhelm.com for $500 then? More like a low $XXX name.

I'm grinning :) I just picked up a CVCV.com from them for under $500. Will reveal it in a day or so once it's all processed.

I can only wonder if this is this case and it appears to be, will this start to show and or change the true value of a domain name? If revenue on a premium single word .com (english.com as an example) goes to crap due to all this strange parking behavior and its not producing revenue, whats it really worth?

If I were a big investor and was interested in that domain, I'd want to know what my roi is going to be. With zero parking revenue or no way to judge its value, I feel it kinda makes it hard to put a price tag on domains if all this holds true in some way.

I dont know, I'm confused :-/
