I'm wasting $600 to prove .mobi is worthless. If iphones.mobi has no traffic or revenue then everything .mobi is crap. On the other hand, if it makes money, I'll be the newest .mobi cheerleader.

Gregr, do you plan to put any content on this site? Because it seems to me that parking a .mobi at this early stage in the game is unlikely to pay off monetarily. A developed .mobi would have value, and a good .mobi name would have value to someone who plans to hold the investment for awhile, but parking, now? Come on.

There are plenty of PR2, 3, 4, and 5 .mobi sites out there that get traffic, but they are DEVELOPED, not parked.

If you were planning to flip it in a settlement with Apple's legal department, it seems you just blew even the most remote chance of that happening that you may or may not have had to begin with.

This may come as a shock to you, but there are a good many people who are actually interested in building usable websites and not clogging up the internet with parked sites. It's taking awhile, but it's happening.

If you're just interested in getting parking revenue, than I think .com is just right. Just don't try to replicate it with .mobi - that's not what it's for. For those who are bent on discrediting .mobi as a poor quick turnaround investment, you're right! It is by and large NOT a quick turnaround investment.

At $600, I think that's perfectly feasible. See, you don't need to be a .mobi fan to make money off .mobi :D

I'm not a big fan of .net (prob hate it as much as you hate Moby), but if some noob was selling a LLL.net for hundreds under market value, I'd pounce on it just the same...

My best name in .mobi is owned by a multi-billion dollar corp in .com... Ya never know

I take it that there is a naysayer amonst us..I'm too new to these boards but they all come around.It took me a long time just to get a cell phone & cable TV but there all here to stay.It'll take others to hop on the Mobi boat & ah..mmm> mobi will be here to stay also.
