.mobi iPhone is good for .mobis

My developed sites usaully get $1.00 per day on PPC. But yesterday, my one day PPC income is $6.57, thanks for the iphone launch. And everybody is trying to using the internet on their mobile phone now.

It is like we've got free advertising, thanks Apple.

Nice good to see a raise in views and revenue for .mobi domains.
Im in the process of selling my domain iPhones.mobi hopefully i can use this sale to increase the awareness of .mobi domains on the iphone although it will need to get some exposure on sites listing the sale. Worth a shot though!

2nd: anyway to know if people are typing in .mobi ..... i recently did an informal poll around my office and while out socializing and not a single person knew of the mobile extension. so i doubt people are typing in mysiteanything.mobi

Edit: in mobile world, i would say people will search instead of direct typing, i guess it is the search traffic that is important to .mobi

All the iPhone can do is help .mobi sites, IMO, especially since we are getting reports that regular sites are a pain in the *** to browse, and slow.

If you have any .com etc. developed sites which receive daily traffic I recommend you plug your mobi's on them and explain about how great they are. I have a site which gets about 100 visits a day from teens etc. and they'll get the word out.

From there, you can click on locations where iPhones will be sold and find out what the people in line there are saying.

Wow, that's great. I agree with the topic of this thread, I think we are going to look back and say that the iPhone was actually very good for .mobi.

We aren't the only ones aware of the problems with viewing .com's. Many companies have regged their .mobi's, but aren't using them yet. The release of the iPhone is a good opportunity for them to start promoting their .mobi sites. We're going to see a lot more "BofA's" in the following weeks and months.
