I agree, the .io extension is very popular and there are a variety of quality sites that sport the .io extension, CodePen.io being a personal favourite. This is 100% niche, I would knock together an aggregator of .io auctions and display some tactfully related advertising then let it 'mature', let the organics do their thang.

But realistically this one is a $50 -$250, end user price.
