Bought a new .io domain through sedo last week a NN.io , bit of an investment and gamble but worth a shot in my opinion.

Anyone investing in .io domains? please feel free to share your investments.

I don't think it's the kind of name that would sell for $1xxx on Flippa.

The appraisal value shown at parkio is esticrap. I wonder if bidders are aware of that, that likely skewed the park auction higher than it should have been
https://app.park.io/auctions/view/mozart.io Then again, once on flippa, no updates for 2 weeks, I see many flippa with zero marketing get undersold, surprised there was no reserve to recover purchase price. Mozart git not updated since 2013 shoulda had wider appeal than that anyway

Gosh it makes me sad to see these flop, I have been tracking IO drops since Feb and the names being purchased at park are going downhill also

Good thing though, It made me become very selective.

Maybe, but there are so many 1 word .io sales nowadays that I felt it's not a bad acquisition at all.

If you feel it is a good one, then just keep it. I just meant that there are still many general keywords left.

And btw, I would not recommend to compare stats from park.io (if you did).

They usually sell some strange stuff and no one knows why.

@trp3 are you saying because literal fission is not yet achieved?

I think that part doesn't matter. For laymen, fission is creating energy by atomic breakdown so I could see it being used for a productivity app, geeky concept fits the extension nicely, yet is a word that normal non-geeks would know.

I did not said that it is a bad one (sorry if you understood it in that way).

I just wanted to mention that there are maybe some keywords left which might have more range of potential buyers. For example, english is not my mother tongue, due to that I had to google as first what 'fission' means or is.

It would be great if Park.io could add a sales platform where we can sell our .io domains for a small fee?

There's only two marketplaces with regular .io sales (Park.io and Flippa.)
