Bought a new .io domain through sedo last week a NN.io , bit of an investment and gamble but worth a shot in my opinion.

Anyone investing in .io domains? please feel free to share your investments.

I know. We cant be a registrar (most of us), but we can be drop catchers And it is also possible to sell a hand reg on Flippa.

I see this ".io thing" as fun with possibility to make some money, at least while you reg .ios. I would not be buying them for $xxxx as that would be gambling.

I don't know why startups started to use .io in the first place? Input/Output is just imagination of domainers and I dont take that as serious explanation. Who is the CEO of .io registry? McClure? :D If so, that would be good explanation why so many startups use .io.

This .io is hopeless. I advise all board members to stay away. Don't search for regs, drops, and please don't buy aftermarket. This extension is very bad!

I just want to thank everyone for the feedback I canceled my ,io name I will do more home work and lookup the name on adwords differently. I don't know if I will buy another io but if I decide to buy a io. i think it would have be tech related

Hi, I think you should invest on .io DN if you find a tech-related available domain. And for now, Flippa seems to be great to sell .io if you invest on premium auctions. I'm about to start my 30 days premium auction for PowerPoint.io (with ITmagazine.io as a bonus) and I'm thinking about doing the same for uploading.io.

So what is the profile of a buyer who would want to use it. I searched G for earrings and see the end user for this domain would be up against Macy's, Nordstroms & others. Walmart is paying for AdWords in the sponsored area. I would think a smaller business would look for a niche domain where they would have a chance of competing.

The second problem I see is opportunity cost. For the same $32 you could pick up at least 3 dot coms which, if carefully chose, might do better for a quick flip.

I created the thread to ask people opinion on io domains you idiot. So I could have a better understanding .I don't want to conversate with you because there's something wrong with you.
