International domains?

Hey everyone, I've been thinking about investing in some international domain extensions...mainly .De and .Jp

What are your thoughts on these? Are they worth anything? How about for even a premium one word name?

I've seen .De sell for some nice amounts on Sedo...but, I've never seen .Jp's for sale. I also haven't been a domainer that long either, so I'm not really sure.

Is there any way to check the recent sales of certain extensions?

Japanese has different taste to domain names. I have seen a .jp site ranks Alexa top 500, but its .com has very low typein traffic.

Search term 'cctld' with option 'search titles only' in 'Domain name discussion' forum section, you will see many useful threads.
