after seeing several stolen and transferred domain stories here on NP,.....
I just transfer-locked one of my domains. as a test, I simply added a period after the last name.
that was all it took to trigger the transfer-lock.
if you have received some suspicious inquiries about some domains, or have a particularly valuable domain, try adding a period.
this should give you some "buffer time" to ask G to help you recover a stolen domain, BEFORE it is transferred away from godaddy.
if you do this once a month, you will always have some buffer time. add a period one month, remove it a month later. or change it to a comma. {repeat}
the control panel will show the transfer-lock date. always verify that the date is what you expect it to be, before thinking it worked.
also, don't use your account email for any whois contact, and lock the domains.
