Hi,
I am looking to drive my mums car in a months time.

(indentical to that, but rhd.)
Well...the car is worth, in its current state, $700 (350GBP) max. It has 152,000 on the clock.
Comprehensive insurance for my mums car, costs 4,200 GBP, which is $9,400USD.
How the heck can they justify such a cost? Check this;
VW Polo 1.2 (new version): 1.2litre engine, top speed: 120mph
Renault 25 (1989): 2.0 litre engine, top speed: 118mph.
Insurance for the VW polo is ONLY $1,500, 750 GBP.
I dont understand, my car is slower, crappier than a 1.2 litre car, and costs so much extra to insure than a new car.
:td:
How can they justify the cost?????????
Rob
