well if the mailers from there domains issues letters and they can assume a copyright use if they have beem selling use of the dBASE and using the mailing list for mail fraud violations.
Also if they buy all these domains they can spam all their user s with similar seller name. Possibly even warning potential buyers.

third possibility buying these names as a ransom demand.
