domain info[sec] dot biz and more

Hi,

I recently got two domain names:

InfoSec.biz: I know biz is a low-value TLD but i wonder how bad it is I think the keyword is good (short for Information Security) but .biz version was the only one available. So I was wondering if I was lucky or dumb enough to waste my money on a biz domain no matter what the keyword is.

SmartPCPro.com: This domain was registered years ago originally but deleted recently. I feel like it's a good name but wonder why it was deleted in the first place.

Sedo rejected both of them for their Great Domains auction as "they didn't meet their quality requirements".

I'd like to get get your opinions about them.

I think $0 value for both

One .biz, which is a not prefered option

And SmartPCPro.com, the "pro" added becomes it in a non special domain for which someone would be willing to pay

I think Infosec is not a great keyword and .biz has very low resell value.
Also greatdomain only takes in .com and .net and they must be of high quality and age. Hand registered name won't make it in there.

I don't think that's entirely correct. If you check their inventory ( https://www.sedo.co.uk/search/searchresult.php4?language=e) there are all kinds of TLDs including .biz, .tv, .us, .es etc.

Although quality is arguable, I don't think domains like smartfones.co.uk, apuestasdepoker.com, peliculas.co have very high quality names either but they are in the auction.

I'd like to understand that reason actually. Sedo's own appraisal tool suggested £1500 for infosec and £540 for the other.

Sedos appraisal tool isnt worth squat, when it comes to their auctions you need really strong words in the dot com extension to be able to get a name in thier auctions

Even Info.biz or sec.biz wont get appraisals higher than $xx imo. The keyword is pretty vague and also the extension is very weak. You have to make people understand that it is the short form of Information Security.

Also InfoSec.com will get a reg fee appraisal from me unless developed! You need to read more before wasting any more money. Get a refund if possible.

I randomly came across infosec actually. And all the extensions but this one was taken. So to me it meant two things:
1. This is a popular keyword so everybody wanted to get a piece (even .in, .me, .ca, .mobi were gone)
2. If all others are gone but not the biz, it must be really worthless!

But I couldn't resist the urge and got this one. I guess I have to set myself stricter rules for purchases to avoid such impulsive decisions.
