I am new to flipping domains but it has really caught my eye as a way to substantiate income. From what I have seen, the .info names are the cheapest to buy but is there any money involved when it comes to selling them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

.info domains are easy to buy hard to sell that is a fact

but when it comes to SEO

some search engines take .info as spam nowadays

as majority of .info domains are for proxy and spam spreading

I also feel the same. The info domains can be bought easily but its hard to sell them. I have faced many problems in this.

.info domains sometimes have a good value like if you have a good dictionary related name like psychiatry.info etc. where the word is more important than the tld. But sometime we can't use the .info domain names for any company, and the TLD importance is seen there. So if it isn't a dictionary name in the domain, then .info is not not much value.

And can't disagree with the fact that selling a .info is harder than other TLDs like .com or .net as most of the buyers are not interested in other than .com domain names unless its very attractive, or holds a high value due to other factors like age etc.

i suggest not to deal with info domains... ive tried to buy lots of it on the sale's start and buyers told me info is becoming a spam trend now so they would always haggle with me

I think .info would be a good long term investment if you buy a oneword.info and actually provide information on the website. The reason I say this is the fact that anyone can buy .info for only 0.89 at GoDaddy. This makes future investing through registrations in .info more likely then say .ws which cost something like $13. More people creating these domains should result in less oneword.info being availible to register.
Register 6 oneword.info domains related to a subject your interested in, create one CSS template, create sites with ads/affiliates on them and then hopefully in a year from registration you will have the sites to a point where they will pay for their own yearly bulk renewal($5-10 per domain per year)

cool, this all sounds really fun and a easy way to make some money but I probably sound really cliche :D

Welcome aboard NamePros! The domain business is like all other business: you have to work hard, be skilled and have a bit of luck to be successful. Domaining is fun but not easy and starting out with the believe that you can make a high extra easy income by investing $0.89 in a few domains at GoDaddy is not making you successful in this business. If you are interested in the domain business then start out consider it a hobby and do some research here at NamePros and the net in general. Good luck :)

I know this first hand. I started buying lots of .info last year when I first started domaining. Now the year has past and its either invest another $10 on top of that 89cents to keep it, or drop the domain and kiss my 89cents goodbye. I think over the past year have bought like 15-20 and only built sites which can actually produce $10 in revenue per year.
