Hi all - as a relative newbie I'm wondering what people feel about .in names. There are a couple of LLL.IN domains available and I'm considering registering them. How do people see the future?

Almost 1.18 now. But only 3-5% pay tax that's why the one's that do (like me) are taxed to death...

However, .in is sweet and a preposition, don't think any aside from this and .us are words in their own right.

.firm.in / .gen.in / .ind.in are actually subdomains, so strictly avoidable.

Not necessarily, depends on the use of the domain;there's no absolute trademark on the term.

WHiz.in has .in names for $13.99/year.

I think thats a bit pricey, especially for such an extension.

I've only bought one.in domain which was InterWeb.In, for some reason i wanted to get rid of it quickly and sold it for almost nothing.

I think its a great extension and I have a few. But liquidity right now stinks. Be prepared to buy and hold. By 2025 India is expected to have the largest population of any country on the planet. Combine that with a huge high tech sector and expanding middle class and you have a sure winner.
