Has Anyone used iMonetize.com? According to their website, you load your domains into their database and they automatically optimize the names to one of the 12 major PPC companies so that you are ensured the highest payouts based on keywords as well as what day of the week it is. Sounds good but what I can't find out is what iMonetize gets out of it. Do they get a cut of the revenue? If so, how much?

Has anyone used their service that can share the experience? Would you recommend it?

imonetize sounds like a great idea but poorly executed.
there are way too many questions being requested for a simple domain parking site (including the rest of the services).
If they could cut through the bureaucracy (and fraud protection in this case isnt convincing enough), the site might actually work.
Overall, excellent concept, but poorly executed (so far).
Best of luck with it.

I just have the following problems with iMonetize:

1. If I get already a great rate from my ppc company, then I must be out of my damn mind to go thru iMonetize.com and get a additional 15% cut. If you use DomainSponsor and already have good share rate, why would you go thru iMonetize? DS is the top ppc company anyway.

2. Who knows what they deduct from your payment? Is it 5 or 15 or even more % cut?

3. I may be ok with 5% cut but that too if I monetize share the original payments on my domains to it from ppc provider? If they don't show what they get paid on my domains....then good bye. We can't be anyone's slave.....its our domains....we need to see what you get and what you give to us?

Just my opinion.

Sorry you feel that way. Best of Luck with your names elseware. Our security and tax forms WILL remain the same, and we are growing but between 10 & 25 new domainer's a DAY and manage over 250k domains to date for over 2000 people that disagree with you. You will always be welcome should you change your mind. :hehe:

OK in order:

1. DS is a GREAT company and does win ALOT of our traffic. However on names that it doesn't win OTHER PROVIDERS WIN sometimes BY AS MUCH AS 3x.

2. Man you gots TRUST issues... Do you have PROOF from ANYBODY how much you get paid?? At least we tell you what we are taking, SOME dome even give you that courtesy!

3. Sorry you feel that way... Goodbye.. :'( But again should you ever change your mind, you are welcome to try us and see what I am talking about.

I hope your automated system is more professional than your manual foot in the mouth approach to answering people's concerns here.
Some people, including myself just raised some concerns *without* attacking you. However, your replies, if anything else, suggest that you have quiet a few issues to sort out.
yet again, best of luck with your site.

Did I attack you??? If so I am sorry... I thought I answered your concerns professionally. Again sorry if they were mistaken as an attack.

I don't think this is a scam. The verification card is really unnecessary, but to be honest, if you want to accept a check you are going to put in your home address anyway. So either way, if somebody wants to scam you, it will happen whether there is or isn't a verification card involved.

Secondly, he is right about the W9 form. I have signed that form with many PPC sponsors already. It's not that he required Social Security, signature, and address. That is everything the US government requires so that he doesn't end up in jail running a tax fraud business. The W9 forms that we give him, prove his company's expenses. And those expenses are the revenue share that we receive.

Notice, Sedo requires a W9 form as well. The companies that operate without W9 forms, are operating 100% illegally in terms of taxes.

Yes, they verified it with Paypal. But not with us...

Lmao thats whole point paypal/ebay are a trusted insitute so when our paypal accounts say verified it means VERIFIED.. thats the whole point its there so it can be trusted. I have been in business over 10 years on line and that has been good enough for us as an ISP/Hosting company.

relook at your business ethics.. I can see you might mean well but you are going the wrong way about it..

do not become a solicitor because your saying your guilty before innocent.

I do not mean to sound offense but your blatant :'( etc in posts is not the right way to talk to people asking questions

sorry but i also looked at your parking for all my domains.. I will not waiste moving hundreds to you, change your practise then maybe.

goodluck

Ask a W9 form for IRS, ask to sign and post by mail (or fax) an agrement, all this is classic when you deal with brick/mortar corporations, and these last years with medium/big internet companies.

Few years ago when it happen to me for the first time, I thought like Marcel:
They are crazy, why they want all this data when generally all is very simple.
I think that I even refused to work with them for this reason.

But after I seen it was far to be an exception and as our company was growing and we started to deal with bigger companies and for higher amounts then I seen that in fact it was the norm.

The company that asked us more info was Verizon. I still remember the headache, around 9 months of hassles to can start to work with them. You cannot imagine all the info they asked.

So 2 weeks it's nothing even if I share it's always frustrating as one would like to start immediately.

Regarding the mainden name, it's classic that members areas suggest this info to retrieve a lost password. I should have to check but I am pretty sure that Yahoo, PayPal, ... do it.

Now the suggestion of Marcel is good I think. If knowing the maiden name is really of help to usurpate identity then Jerry you should suggest another password reminder tip.
Maybe the dog name, the favorite food, ... I do not think it's a very complicate change and I am sure this little improvement will be appreciated.

There is a real problem of click fraud, iMonetize must protect, it's even possible he's being pushed on this by the parking domain companies he have make a deal.
Why? Simply because they have themselves be seriously pushed by Yahoo and Google to double check publishers and do a deeper control. At least this is what my conversations with few of these providers reflected.

Now, regarding the fact that iMonetize is a good service or no, I do not know.
Probably the best is try it and get each one his own opinion.

I think homey is trying to protect himself and his company which is 100% fair
However as i said in a previous post, many (and i mean many) domainers will flee when they see all these (tax forms, long verifications....) and frankly i don't blame them. I may did the same

Fraud is bad nobody will disagree. However if you are going to give a DNA sample of your blood or your left eye to prove them you're not a scam then i don't agree. From a marketing point of view the whole idea is bad
If someone wants to verify something then he must spend his time and not user's time to do it
The only exception to this rule is when the service is so exceptional/unique/one of a kind that the user is "forced" to follow all the rules to enter

A young company doesn't have the brand force to "sell" to the user his terms
Everything out of the normal is rejected from the user

Imagine for example Google to ask for his Adsense advertisers to jump 14 times and then lay down for 15 minutes
I think all of the advertisers will do it to enter

There are so many competitors out there and spending the same time you can signup at least to 3-4 normal parking providers

As the people above said, the idea is ok, meta-parking company, an intelligent rotator or whatever you can call it
Make it easy, fast and people will come. See namedrive, they even have the domain addition form in the frontpage

Maybe there are people that use imonetize, good for them, they made a choice, bad or good they know better

to homey: i'm not preaching against imonetize, just saying my sincere opinion. Don't let the current signups blind you. The fact that people sign doesn't mean that everything is perfect and believe me the people that don't sign because of all these are not few and certainly not scammers. The services of internet surfing privacy sell like crazy and you're talking about real home address ?

here is the deal. . . its easy to setup on namedrive but they ban you for no reason. . . I rather jump through all the hoops at iMonetize so they dont bar me for random reasons when it comes to payout time . . . since they are more confident that I wont defraud them . . .

Yet to be seen if they'll do anything to me :) but my finger is crossed.

More importantly, here is what I know thus far . . .

My high traffic domains (1o+ visits a day) are doing reall well (+10% in CTR) . . . but my low traffic domains (~1 visit a day) are doing really really bad . . . almost 0% clickthrough . . . just a datapoint. . .

Your idea is OK (i agree with it especially if you don't deal with Google directly it's better), however imagine everybody paying a % to someone else to create some levels of protection

For example :
Source Google >> Namedrive >> imonetize (3 levels already and every level take his commission)

Maybe another good service will be a rotator that will rotate between trafficclub.com and imonetize.com

(by the way hitchhiker your domain is nice, now that i had the opportunity to reply)

iMonetize Pop-under revenue and Keyterms

I am a newbie at iMonetize. I have some questions:

Do we get a portion of the revenue from the pop-under ads? If so, can you quantify it in some way? How does it compare to the revenue we get from the landing pages click-thru's?

Also, I just found the "Keyterm Suggestion" function in the menu. It seems a bit unwieldy to use - you must type in the domain names (no simple selection from your list), and ther does note seem to be any way to see what domains you have set keyterm for, nor what they are once you are done.

I can't imagine that you systems would be accurate and effective in "automatically" setting the proper keyterms for some, if not most, domain names. So, having an efficient function for us to set them seems like a worthwhile option. Will that be enhanced in the near future?

NOTE; This is my first post here. So, please excuse me if I violated some rule or it is awkward in some way...Just let me know, and I will do better next time.

you all need to get real, this is not a scam/fraud. I filled out the forms the other day. Very standard stuff. If your unwilling to give your address and ssn to someone that pays you then how the heck do you get paid?
