I've had this domain around 4 years. It is video clips for your ipod of Marilyn Monroe. Anyway, this is a section of my bigger website and I don't really think I need to keep the domain name. I don't plan on continuing to update the videos anymore.

I was emailed by a company that has made an iphone app called "iMarilyn" they just wanted me to post a link to it on my site. I asked them if they were interested in acquiring the domain name. They have asked me for my proposal and I have no idea how much money is reasonable to ask.

Any thoughts?

Sound like an ideal buyer to me. Remember app developers make money down the road, so they might not have big bucks if this is there first project. $500 would be the least i would sell this to them. Four figures will scare them away if there a small potatoes "company" Hard call, Investigate them more to feel it out. Goodluck

You might get $200 just for the link for a agreed amount of time lol

Great advice above. Try to get a feel for the size of the company and then start your offer a tad higher than the amount you would ultimately accept. I think the $500 range is probably about right. Good luck.

Thanks very much for the advice.

I recommend working out a percentage deal. Say 25% of sales for the next few years. If the app takes off it could be huge.

Just another take, best of luck!
