I've been in the Adsense program for almost 2 years, everything is going smooth and nice, until this morning.
One of my websites had much more clicks than impressions: that means that the CTR is much MORE than 100% !!!!
I already sent a message to the people at Google about this misterious mass clicking.
The point is that in the statistics I have in this website appears I only had 5 visitors, I can track the path they visited in my site, and none of them had a path that they could have click the times it appears in my Adsense stats (if they click in an Add they live the site, so if they click the back button in my stats service it would appear as a "RELOAD"). I guess that maybe google is paying something retroactive, maybe an advertiser that didn't want to pay?

After the message I sent to google the adsense stats are stopped, so now I'm scared as my income is pretty significant. Of course everything is by the TOS.
Did anybody had the same experience like being paid a big amount suddendly like maybe they were clicks that they were disputed by the advertiser?

Probably someone want to get you banned by google adsense . Do you have enemyes ? :)

Regards
Adrian
P.S. Is very possible to don't be banned by google if you already sent the email. How much is your CTR ? Do you use google analytics ?

Everything seems to be right after 24 hours. I sent the email to Google and had no response yet.
My CTR is relatively high all the time, I have like 25 websites using the Adsense program. The point was that only one of them appeared in the morning with many impressions and clicks (and of course revenue).\
When I check the two statistic services I have in this website, there where only 5 visitors and each one only visited just a couple of pages, so it didn't match the number of pages visited with the Google Adsense impressions.
After more than 24 hours I haven't received a reply from Google. My theory is that some Adsense stats from this site particular website were "stuck" and they release those impressions and clicks all together. Did something like this ever happenned to anyone?

I don't think its a huge deal if just one site has a CTR over 100%.

Now if your overall CTR is over 100%, I'd start to worry.

It can be explained by someone opening the advert in a new browser. I often do it if I see two links I want to follow, while wanting to keep the original site open.

The only time to get truly worried is when this sort of thing carries on over a long period of time.

You should not worry to much if you're not doing anything wrong...
just wait for the next stat update and see if its still the same ctr

have you reported this to google adsense?

That happened to me once, the next day it was back to normal, but I lost all the revenue for the day.

Don't worry Google adsenses system will automatically deduct that amount those clicks were worth, i've had the same problem many times & have reported every instance to the Google team, i get nice replies back thanking me for contacting them...

The thing with invalid clicks i believe is... Did the account holder do those invalid clicks? (Google asks) if yes then that is why Google closes accounts, as long as you contact them, then they know you wouldn't have done those clicks...

I had very similar problem, only I got over 15000 clicks, so I reported Google. After about 2 days I got reply that they will look into this and after about 4 days they just banned me :(. I never clicked on my ads and I don't even know who that someone who got me banned was :'(

It's been 3 days and I haven't got an answer from the people at Google.
Everything is normal now. It looks like there were some stats and clicks from one of my websites, and suddenly they credited all those clicks together.
I checked the days before this happened and everything looks normal, so it's not that that website didn't have adsense activity. Probably is an advertiser that disputed the clicks, so google put them in hold. After they checked that there weren't invalid, they credit my account. That's my theory.

I received an answer from Google today, it looks automatic, they wrote like everything is ok.
But guess what, today at the last minute again in another of my sites I received more clicks than impressions again, that means a CTR of more than a 100% :td:
Has anybody has ever received clicks in a retroactive kind of way.
The stats in this site doesn't show any visitor that logged in too many pages and mass clicked the adds.

I received another answer from google. Telling me to read the policies and terms, I found in point number 8 something that can explain my problem
https://www.google.com/adsense/terms

"No Guarantee. Google makes no guarantee regarding the level of impressions of Ads or clicks on any Ad or Referral Button, the timing of delivery of such impressions and/or clicks, the completion of Referral Events, or the amount of any payment to be made to You under this Agreement. "

This means that you can have a bunch of clicks and they may appear much later in your stats.
