I'm not in Google, and I'm not sure why.

Hi guys,
Google isn't including my site Rides.org in its results. It's got crazy incoming links. Its linked from pbs.org, tons of .gov and municipal .us sites, tons of other sites. On Yahoo search its on the first page for the keywords "rides" and "carpools". It's also pretty good in the msn rankings. But google won't throw me a bone. And they have crawled it, judging from the logs. I think I have pretty good keywords up. What gives? Any ideas?

remove the text that says links, and make use an image instead, that says links.

Wait a while, your site is brand new. Your site should appear in Google index soon enough.
And please increase the content you have on your site. Basically, it is a single page.

All link are for previous site and all indexed page was removed. I would suggest to use google webmaster, sitemap to "tell" google robot that you site are alive.
Other search engine keep indexed page longer than google.

Looks like it is banned from google search engine. You can submit a reinclusion request using Google Sitemap.

You did not but previous owner did. Just claim to google for resolve if it is the case

Even though the domain is very old, your site is new - give it a little more time, especially if the domain was parked or inactive for a while.

Yeah, that might be the problem. Site's been up for more than 10 years, but judging from archive.org it seems it was down for almost all of 2006 (before I got it). Maybe that's the reason why.

Yeah, I got that stuff from Wikipedia. I didn't know that was a problem. If I change it to something else, will Google be able to start showing my site, or do I have to submit it for re-inclusion manually?

I would say get some content written up , either by yourself or someone else. this can be done cheap. I know here that -Nick- the forumleader for this section knows of some great article writers. I would say around 600 words for your content.

And for the re-inclusion I would recommend google webmaster tools

Also ping google with your sitemap, the below line you need to add your sites location of its sitemap after the =

then when you do that you know you just told that dang googlebot HEY come here

Yeah, that could be a problem. I'm having a really hard time getting my adsense website indexed by Google which uses a generic template / information.
