Children fathered by older men are likely to be less intelligent than the offspring of younger dads, Australian and US scientists found in a report published Tuesday. The research contrasted sharply with earlier studies showing that older mothers produced children more likely to record above average intelligence scores, the researchers concluded.

My parents were over 35 and I have a above average IQ; If they were younger maybe I would have been smart enough to buy Yahoo! at the right time? :hehe:

Thanks for sharing -- studies like this are always interesting to hear about. I kind of feel like The 34 Year Buzz! about it -- wish I'd have been born to younger parents so I just maybe would have had a chance to take part in some of those early internet IPOs.

Sidenote: I recently read a study which correlated motivation levels more with success than levels of intelligence -- that's good because it's a lot easier for most people to become more motivated than it is to become more intelligent

This report and research is absolutely right, and there is no doubt in it. Whole statement is perfect, but now a days its hard to marry earlier, because of studies and work, In students average spends 24 year of his life in his studies.
