If I sell my domain how do I give it to the person who bought it?

If I sell my domain how do I give it to the person who bought it? I Bought it through godaddy.com, if the buyer has a godaddy.com acct how would I transfer it?

Go to your domain manager and click the box with the domain. Then click account change and fill in your buyers info. The email address is important.

just a little bit more information....

once you have made the changes described above, the new registrant (of which you should have put the new email address) will receive an email from godaddy with a password and transaction code, once the new registrant put's these codes in, the domain will be transfered to their account.

pardon my ignorance, but what if after you made the changes, the guy suddenly refuse to pay you? Or on the buyer's side, what if after the buyer did the money transaction first and the seller just never pass the domain over?

Is there any monitoring mechanism?

There isn't really a monitoring mechanism, you just have to trust the buyer/seller. If you are a buyer and somebody does not provide the service/product then you can usually get your money back through the payment processor, like PayPal. If you use a credit card you can get it back a lot more easily though.
