IDN question. I'm confused.

Can I do a .de extension in german language characters? or can I only do that for.com or .net? They told me at godaddy I couldn't do for intstance www.Büromaterial.de only.com which is taken already. Plus I don't understand this whole puni code unicode thing. Can I only use the other country extensions using english language characters?

for IDN.DE you might have to use Moniker--from what I've heard. Don't quote me on that one, never owned a .de before.
