IDN Parking at Sedo : New at Sedo!

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to update you on an important improvement to our parking system. Our parking program has been expanded to support IDN/UTF8 domains. This means names with non-western characters including Arabic and Mandarin characters can now be parked with Sedo. In the next few months we should be able to add them to our bidding system as well, although this is more complicated and will take a little while to implement.

I know some folks have been looking forward to this. I hope you have a chance to try it out and please let me know what you think.

I'm abit confused now, because I don't see how this is new. I've had several IDNs already parket at Sedo since November, some of them catching some traffic even. So I assume this must be more related to how they're listed for sale or something else?

I believe this is new because currently, you cannot simply change name servers and be done with it. You have to do URL forwarding or cloaking instead.

I am assuming that the new implementation allows you to simply change name servers to have everything working.

Correct me if I am wrong.

I tried parking my 2 russian names there a few weeks ago and the system wouldn't let me input the names. Today, I tried again and it worked though they aren't for sale (yet.)

I had them parked at Namedrive...see how they do at Sedo.

I have had some IDN's there at Sedo before and I've haven't had any problems. May they're expanding to accept the other variations now.
