question icann .com and other price increase in April???

so I read somewhere on here before there will be could be might be increase in reg fee for .com and others.. starting april 15 this year.

anyone can confirm this? if true, then what for? .com and .net and .org?
how much? new regs only? renewals.. transfers.. all above?

.net got an increase only recently, I don't think there will be another one so soon

where did you read that anyway, I mean, can you link the thread?

no sorry.. it was a month or so ago.. just a message someone posted on another unrelated thread.. all I remember is date of april 15.. and telling people to do their renewals before that. and that it said .com specifically.. so this is why I asked about other extensions also.

I have some renewals coming up, so thought I'd confirm before 15th. tnx.

ok thanks. maybe someone else will know something about it.. or maybe the person whom I read didn't know his facts well. it is possible.

I do remember seeing godaddy new regs/renewals at 8.20+17cents icann.. some months ago.. and when recently regged or renewed it is up by 10 cents.. so 8.30+17... not sur ewhen this happened.. but definitely wasn't so some motnhs ago... maybe this was the increase that was meant to happne this year..

Don't you think we would all have received emails from our Registrars if .com prices were going to increase on April 15th? Maybe that's the date the World ends. So better get all our spending done before then

yes
could have would have should have for sure..
but at same time.. I do not recall receiving a thing from godaddy when that 10 cent increase happened... and happen it did

i guess it wouldn't be first (or last) time registrars do not do what they should be doing heheh
