Hi, I suggest you to read a lot of old posts in the .TV section of the forum

Best names are GEOs.

Good luck in finding them, they have been pretty much alll scanned in several languages.

If you thought that Geo were not the best, than what?

for .TV it is , also some generics like:

Music.TV

Sports.TV

Finance.TV

but I won`t even look at those Premium reg fees :'(

I got some nice Geos , one just sold at SEDO and others that I keep, including Country names like Sweden , England and USA in their italian translation.

If you are talking about the ultra-Premiums that cost an expensive annual reg fee, sometimes many $ thousands , you can search it at enom.tv , a NP member has got few days ago Tennis.TV but I have no idea how many thousands a year is going to pay.

I opted to search lists created by me, not much is left and probably nothing in English.

This is a list of all the premium names and their yearly renewals.

I would advise looking through all the old .TV threads, as i am sure you will have questions on premium pricing.

Cheers

actually, I wonder if there is anyway to get all that list in one file?

Cheers

thank you, I had thought about that but it does not work...I can get any number higher than 200 per page, I can`t change it.

Maybe they changed the system since?

No problem at all.

They must have changed it somehow as this always used to work.

Sorry i couldn't be more help.

Cheers

welcome lonley designs!

geo is good in any extension- but with .tv, you can work more niches- its not all about geos- its about a world of internet tv, from people naming tv shows, to tech sites, to social networks, to product placment-

so dont be stressed over geos, or premiums for that matter- names are selling in addition to some geos, and did very nicely-

also, dont pay 29.99! you have to check around- i think needname is always cheaper than that and if you use godaddy use a coupon code to get a discount too-

In answer to the question above......yes, good generics are all gone, along with a lot of others. Mainly think of tv as a video extension and that your name should, in my opinion, have an easy video application that could compliment the name. Geos work because GEO's always work.

My suggestion is to look in the marketplace to see what is for sale. Lots of great prices there to start a portfolio.

Thank you very much everybody!
I am extremely poor so have no chance of getting a prem.
For now I shall just look at sales ect. until I get enough money for something nice.

I'd suggest focusing on developing then non-.tv domains you already have, make some cash and then think about getting into .tv

The likelihood is that any .tv you buy will need to be developed to be worth anything, or be a premium which will cost you some cash to start with- which you would probably then choose to develop to justify your costs. .tv is not an extension for quick and/or frequent 'flipping'.

That said, the cheapest way to get started is to have a look in the .tv sales forum for some cheap bargains- but these are normally close to renewal.
