Hi all,

I know that many members hear have bought up some of the best Geo .tv's around but i was wondering if anyone has developed their .tv's yet as im short of ideas on how to fully develop a Geo .tv.

I have spent a fair bit of time searching online for a Geo that makes the best use of video, media and doesnt just look like any other .com Geo.

Has anyone developed a .tv geo that full takes advantage of the .tv extension or does anyone even have any examples of well developed .tv geos that i could learn from.

Thanks,
mckennaronnie

Boston.tv is a class act, its easy to tell it was done to a high standard and im sure it will help .tv's awareness very much.

Regarding tulsa.tv, i was sure i had looked at this a few months back and it was much like the usual boring flat .com style Geo (i could be wrong here and confusing it with another domain)

I really like the style of tulsa.tv now, it works well with provinf the usual Geo content of local guide, jobs, news..etc and the .tv element of having videos, user genrated content and more.

Out of the 2 sites so far i prefer tulsa.tv as i think developments costs could be less but site works just as well.

Any more Geos you know of, any views on the ideal .tv Geo??

Thanks

In my last conversation with Prague.tv they will be doing a facelift this year with a more professional team of coders.

Also, the owner of Tulsa.tv will be launching a new geo this year that will make Tulsa.tv look like a kiddy site:)

Lots happening in the geo sphere.

Hey, nobody listed Houston.tv by one of our fellow Npers!

Hey,

I forgot all about this thread but will try and add a few more developed Geo's over the next week while my focus is back on Geo research so i can give more definite plans to my design team.

ekaterinburg.tv : Ekaterinburg is the third largest Russian city.

Kusadasi.tv : "Kuşadası is a tourist area in Turkey"

The above .tv geo's look much like a .com, nothing to set them apart as a .tv

http://www.solent.tv is the Home of news & Sport in Isle of Wight.
What i do like about this site is that although it is very simple it does include a nice video elememt on the right hand side of the page. They also have what they call "Our Streaming On Demand Service that gives: Solent Tonight brings you the very latest Island news, weather and sport every weeknight."

I still havent found the right Geo design in my eyes for any of my sites, to be honest im a little dissapointed that many of the developed Geo's are just like traditional .com portal sites and are not designed with .tv in mind. Maybe i am expecting too much to soon though and it will take more time before .tv is fully used as an extension with .tv sites giving increased media content rathe than traditional site design & content.

Please if anyone finds any .tv geos then please add them to this list so us Geo owners can compare the good and bad then maybe make our future sites a little better.

Any views & opinions on how to best develop geos would be great also.
