You can see if the pagerank is genuine, backlinks as well as the history of the domain.

I've received many PM and am negotiating on a few domains. I have also received some fake PR domains. Please keep sending domains with true PR.

I recommend using this before sending me your domain. If it says your domain has fake PR, it's probably not worth sending.

Here are a few things I look for:

Make sure the domain is indexed in Google (site:www.domain.tld).
Make sure the domain has been indexed recently (last 30-45 days).
Verify that Google is showing backlinks for the domain (link:www.domain.tld).
Check the backlink results to verify they have strong PR.

I may take a few other steps to verify the validity of the PR, but this covers the basics. Please don't send domains that don't meet the above specifications.
