As a newbie, I'm bookmarking this thread. A lot of resources to check out. I liked expireddomains.net because if i click the domain name and click NameJet, it tells me if there are any bids and estibot value, really helpful since most websites have a limit on appraisals for free subscriptions. (Just a tip for any other newbies out there like me!)

A real human being who is capable of appraising domains. One who has been buying and selling domains for a few years has an idea of how much any particular domain can sell for. You can post a thread in the forum below if you want an appraisal for your domains.

I use more or less all what was already listed and:

knowem /dot/ com - social media names check and fast trademark check (!this is not a global trademark check!)
webconfs /dot/ com - seo tools

I forgot - I use the big G quite a bit

And for me the most valuable source of info is tweets from mm rs fs but rs insight from both domain aspect but just as is important is his negotiating skills which will help domain investors mm domain based tweets are good as a guide for pricing two and three word dot Coms plus you get to know his sales as they happen before they appear on np or in dnj

The np completed sales thread is a good resource because it tells you the type of names that are being bought and or sold and many inbound enquiries it would seem and the price at which they are sold

Some registrars and whois tools need the puny code rather the symbols to recognize the domain. It also helps clarify the validity of the string.

Just like professional sports players etc sometimes it's not more techniques but more practice perfecting existing techniques

Eg staying out on the pitch after training continuing to practise long after the others have gone home

I never get bored of search engine databases i can sit at a domain name search engine for may hours easy as pie and finding potential domains

Very much my cup of tea
