Per Namebio.com , I.tv sold for $230 on 5/04/07, at Sedo! Huh, have I been drinking or what? Please tell me it ain't so!

I saw it in auction...and also assumed IDN....but my computer I tapped in i.tv and it took me to the site..................so I am feeling a little sick right now......does my tapping in the i from my computer confirm this is a normal reg??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually I think it is the real deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just checked renewal fee - its $12,500 a year...........still very very low compared to whats out there!!!!!

But to the end user....what a steal!!!

Although we do run cleanups on the Database every so often. They do sneak by us and there are duplicate listings on occasion. Also, bare in mind we are automated. So, if the auction house lists it at a certain price, then corrects it, the incorrect price still is reflected (this has happened a few times).

However, this particular case, is a bit bizarre. If this was an IDN, Sedo listed it as a standard domain name - we copy characters exactly from their site. And, as it appears - this is taken directly from the auction.

I will look into this further to clarify if the error is on Sedo's side.

Wow, I would eat my shoes if I had missed this one, but think you are all correct, it's an IDN. It also makes no sense at all, when you have i.tv in your portfolio why would you let it go for $230 :o

Facts

A few interesting facts:

1) trademark for I.tv has been abandoned:

2) I.tv is owned by the I Entertainment Group. Would they really let it expire? Whois for I.tv:

3) Name will expire next month, if I am right. Why would you let it get that close to expiration?

4) Even if you got it for $230, who could afford to renew, for $12,000, as stated above. You would, of course, be hoping to sell it.

5) If you do a search for "i.tv" on Sedo.com, will will bring up the idn's, they are pretty easily recognizable.



Just makes you wonder!

I have contacted Sedo for clarification on this issue. Hopefully we will find out early this week the answer. I do believe if this domain is an IDN, it was mislabeled by Sedo.
