I have the domain name click/travelling()com. Someone wants to buy it from me and asked me how much I want for it. Could you please help me figure out how much to tell him? Thanks!!

If the buyer contacted you first ask them to put an offer in for it.Or if you want to set a price ask in the $500 range and see where it ends up.$250 would be a good result for this name.I would even say snap their hand off at $150.Let us know how it goes but it can't hurt asking for his offer first.

You won't be rich from selling this one but Try to make a couple of hundred. Good luck

You should tell them to make you an offer. Once they make an offer keep in mind the amount they offered and consider the following,

1.Do you think you could get a little more out of the name. If so counter offer.
2.If you think the amount is decent for the name take it as counter offering to high might scare them away and possibly ruin the potential sale.

last time i made a mistake ask much for letco.org
the guy from finland offered me $ 450 dollars and i asked him to pay me 5000 dollars and the guy cancelled the deal despite i didn't mean to sale it that much.
so what i want to say is that you should ask him to make offer then from there you can let us no the next right!
but the truth is that if the guy need the name he will give enough money more than we can tell u here bcos sellers always like to buy cheap sell high!

I'm not sure asking them to make an offer would be a winning tactic.

I mean, if i was the buyer, i would be negatively impressed if the seller doesn't have a price tag in the mind, and i would think "mmh he wants to know how much i'm willing to pay so he can counter offer with a unreasonable higher price!" then I , as buyer, would have two possibilities: offering a low figure OR offering the fair one with no intention to increase it.

The best strategy (IMHO) is to be honest and think "what is the amount i would feel fairly satisfated?" and then ask for 1,5/2x of this amount.

For this domain i would feel satisfated for a $150-250 sale.

Last suggestion: edit your post and make your domain as unrecognizable by search engines, for example Click / Travelling () com . If the buyer would search this domain on Google (and i assure you they DO), his valuation would be influenced by the thread.
