I have been contacted by someone who wants to buy my domain, DoFord.com. I make NO money from it, matter of fact I just have an OLD project I once tried up. The guy wants to know how much I want for the domain but I don't know how much to tell him. Please, tell me what you think the domain is worth. Thank you so much!

??? Are you trying to market a domain you have to the same buyer? :p

I doubt a buyer for a fan site would pay more than low $XXX for the domain and it seems like the domain would have some trademark issues.

LeapFish.com says about $3,000. I figured something like this would go for $1,000, no? I figured because of how short it is, I would have something good. How much do you guys think I might be able to sell it for if I developed it into a Ford fan site? Thanks in advance!

Did the buyer give any details that may be usefull ? I think names like these can be pretty usefull/desirable to the right endusers but this can take time to find.

for example - Beau Townsend Ford uses the domain www.btford.com

There will be other similar end user out there for a name like that IMO, Dayton Ohio ford etc ?? I think to get the best price for this name you should think of the do part as representing two seperate words rather than one.

I have a similar type of name with 2 letters followed by Motors and am currently negotiating with a "potential" enduser but I have done some google research and found there are quiet a few possible uses/end users that "may" be interested in the name. (just speculation but the more you know the better IMO)

Do a google search and see what you can find - other than that just ask the interested buyer to make a reasonable offer and go from there.

There must be thousands of Ford dealers worldwide , you just gotta find the right one either that or just set your price and wait....and wait....

Possible TM issues, as Fonzie says it depends how you play it - but keep in mind Doford is also a surname.
