I am having really big problems. I will soon be launching my new site http://www.handmessages.com but it wont always work.

At the start it was hosted with netfirms. Then I transferred it to namecheap. It is at namecheap but the DNS points to Ihosty where it is hosted.

For some reason it still trys to go to netfirms and fails of course. It does not do this all the time sometimes it goes where it is suppose to. Any email sent to @handmessages.com sometimes will work and other times be bounced back from netfirms.

If you check this link you will see lots of errors. I have no idea what they all mean. As well the confirmation email when you register at Handmessages will get stripped out of the body to any @yahoo.com addresses.

Look here why does it still show netfirms?

Can someone please help? I am at a loss.

Hi
When did you change the nameservers ?
It takes about 24-72 hours for them to propagate.

Regards
Ishan

Your ihosty nameserver are bad configurated, they say your domain is at Netfirms. You have to contact ihosty to make changes on their DNS servers.

If they are using Cpanel, there's a setting that cause this misconfiguration if they create your hosting account before you have changed the nameservers at your registrar.

C:\>nslookup

> server ns1.ihosty.com
Default Server: ns1.ihosty.com
Address: 66.79.165.5

> set type=ns
> handmessages.com
Server: ns1.ihosty.com
Address: 66.79.165.5

handmessages.com nameserver = ns1.netfirms.com
handmessages.com nameserver = ns2.netfirms.com

It is not fixed. It still has netfirms as the SOA record?? Whatever that means we can not access any of it. Yes some people I talk to can. Ihosty wont respond. Our programmer cant access it via ftp to upload anything. It still tried to go to this ip (66.244.251.18) which is netfirms. When I ping handmessages.com I get 66.244.251.18 with no response. If I put that ip in my browser it goes to netfirms.

It works for me here, in New York. as ISHAN said previously you have to wait 24-to 72 hours untill it propagates fully.
you can use a proxy to test connection.

You use dnsstuff.com to verify any dns issues.

Very bad for a hosting company to not respond to support queries made by the customers :(
