I need a professional appraiser who can appraise a domain of mine and provide a certificate of authenticity.

I am on a budget though so would prefer if you could do it for free :)

Thanks in advance!

Here it is:

Hello,

What is the price you can accept for your domain?

Our company develops client-server systems in Delphi and MS SQL Server. We work as contractors of a big corporation. So domain names for us is just a part of investing.

If you offer more domains for sale with good reselling potential please email us your list.

Looking forward to do business with you.

That's an appraisal scammer, in fact the same one that has been mentioned here on a few posts. He sent me an email about a month ago, I didn't bother responding. Only his "name" was Klauss Newmann & yes, it was a very similar email he sent.

 Nice work! Keep it up, hehe

I got almost the same email myself... and yes, that was the forum, mkylut, that he told me about... and yes, he refused an appraisal from Sedo. Actually, I didn't realize it was a scam until I asked about some advice here at NamePros. :)

I received the same email a couple of weeks ago. I just told him that I don't send appraisals and if he needed an appraisal he should get one himself. Never received a reply from him.

I've also received an email from "Neumann", with a very similar introduction, but the strange thing is he didn't gave me a link to another appraisal-service. He just told the automated services were not good an he always uses a person to estimate the value. I never heard from him again. Are these mails also automated? (I think they are but I'm not sure)

I received the same email 2days ago. Did like Edwardsacha said and told them to go through Sedo if they were interested in purchasing the domain. I also received a similar email a couple of months ago. The interesting thing about both is that each of the domains in question were in the Sedo showcase at the time.

If there's money to make and ppl to fool, the scam will never end.

omg I got the same thing. be carefull

I had the same email and came across that fishy looking forum where they list their own appraisal company to do your appraisal. Be careful there is a website with these stories listed.

(i hope it's ok to list a link to a website here):

http://www.domainappraisalscam.com/

This site saved my ass because I don't know anyone in this business that I can ask but I'm happy to be a part of this forum now. It gives me a sense of security knowing a place where others in this business have made mistakes and the rest of us can learn from.

It's okay and I think it's safe to say we thank you for it.

LOL looking for appraisals but even here it's hard to get your peers to appraise anything. So all I've been doing is giving appraisals (based on my opinions) for a few guys looking for the same thing. And I'll bet a good portion of new members are looking for Peer appraisals because they're chasing "That Guy" with the scam. But hopefully they get to this thread or that link <in a deep Movie narrator's voice> "Before it's too late".

I signed up for other forums as well before I found this one. But this one has had users online and enough replies that my search for a decent forum is over. Now if I could only get someone to appraise on my threads. <shrugs>

If anyone is reading this reply I would appreciate any further comments or appraisals on my items. Payitem.com - Pornism.com - MenzHealth.com.

Thanks,

Chapel

I like to appraise but some ppl just don't seem to like it. Case in point: http://www.namepros.com/235856-ugly-1-million-guy-wants-trade-34.html#post1834156

I'll get back to you on your domains later -- I'm too tired right now lol -- but from a glace, your three look good :)
