I need a partner that will invest $4500 in registering 630 brandable domains I have created. The partner will have joint control of the portfolio till he gets his invested money back with 50% interest rate before December 31st, 2024. After that, I take full ownership of the portfolio.

While am I confident my domains in my portfolio will sell in the next 6 months? Because I have lost 12 unregistered domains out of the portfolio in the last 2 months. It shows my unregistered domains meet endusers' demand. Examples QuantCheck.com, SlikPay.com, Danmia.com, ChekBet.com etc are part of my available creative portfolio that I lost later to end-users for free.

I am intelligent, have a First Class degree in Economics and business experience in my country. I have also spent last 6 months on namepros to properly finetune my domaining skills. Now, it's showing in the quality of my fresh reg ideas. I SURELY have the expertise in domaining than your average domainers on namepros.

Most domainers on namepros except few are profitable because the quality of their domains are so POOR. The hand reg of the day section is a proof to that.

To succeed as a domainer, you need sound educational background, real-life business experience, creativity, literary and portfolio management skills.

Funding is the ONLY thing stopping me for now. So inbox me if you are interested in partnering with me and let's make money.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Although this seems very lucrative, why not start small? Like, investing just $100 of your own money and maybe you'll get like 8 domains in that.

Sell those 8 domains and pretty sure you'll earn more than $4500. Since you have 1st class degree in Economics, you'd understand more the power of being debt free and having full 100% control over your actions.

If you want, I can invest a little but what collateral would you have incase none of the domains get sold before December 31st, 2024.

Do you offer any guarantee or a plan B? Also, if I'm investing then I'd like to have the domains in my registrar account or a new account where in the email ID & phone number used would be mine (so that you cannot change it later on).

Just giving my honest opinion. Please take it in a constructive way.

So to be clear you're looking for somebody to risk $4,500 just to potentially make a maximum $2,250 profit with no guarantee that any money will be made? That's an equivalent payout of a -200 moneyline sportsbet in Vegas.

While am I confident my domains in my portfolio will sell in the next 6 months? Because I have lost 12 unregistered domains out of the portfolio in the last 2 months. It shows my unregistered domains meet endusers' demand

With all due respect, seeing 12 of 630 brandables registered in a 2 month period is about a 2% registration rate. Reg rate is not the same as sell through rate. Never before registered domains tend to carry lower reg rates than recently dropped domains, but as is a 2% reg rate doesn't instill much confidence.

Examples QuantCheck.com, SlikPay.com, Danmia.com, ChekBet.com etc are part of my available creative portfolio that I lost later to end-users for free.

QuantCheck = Your strongest example as this domain is now developed. But this domain was registered on March 14th, 2024. When did you add this domain to your list?

The other 3 are just landing pages.

Most domainers on namepros except few are profitable because the quality of their domains are so POOR. The hand reg of the day section is a proof to that.

There are very few domainers who could instill confidence for this type of venture. Those that come to mind are those who have held sucessful available to register domain threads.

When you post a list of available to register domains on namePros and you start to notice many of them quickly registered, then you know you're on the right track, and may have an easier job recruiting an investor. Two popular available to register domain threads that come to mind are:

https://www.namepros.com/threads/get-em-while-they-last-available-coms.165160/ by @NameClerk

or

QuantCheck.com was added to my list February ending. I coined it from Quantum + Check. And it was available on GoDaddy till march and then hand registered by an Analytics company for crypto.

QuantCheck.com was among the first 10 names coined on my list.

Did you coin it on your own or uncover it from seaching dropped domains (expireddomains.net)?

I ask because it's more understabdable to see domains coined on your own see single digit reg rates, but freshly dropped domains should at least have double digit reg rates.

The domain has some history:

https://www.whoxy.com/quantcheck.com#history

Looks like it deleted and was available for re-registration sometime between October of 2023 and March 2024.

It's funny because on February 21st, 2024 the eventual registrant was tweeting the brand name before they registered the .com in March.

My strategy is to sell one of the 47 domains I registered in January as a newbie for 4995. And then reinvested the money in registering the new portfolio.

One thing is for sure, a newbie MUST make mistake with his first portfolio for practical domaining experience.

Thereafter, the future is yours and your eyes will be able to see the difference and finetune your skills.

I coined it on my own. On that same day, I coined QuanTELCO.com, Quangnet.com and QuantCheck.com.

But it is only QuantCheck.com I picked on that day to my added portfolio list as at then. Because QuanTELCO.com and QuangNET.com are below the quality I am building in my new portfolio list.

Like QuantCheck is from Quantum + Check

QuanTELCO is from Quantum + Telecommunication

Quangnet is from Quantum + Magnetic.

Some domainers can have it if the other two domains are still available.

It's below my new standard of quality.

Danmia.com is from Dan + Jumia

chekBet.com is from AutoChek + Bet

Were these names registered or bought from another domainer after  they registered them because thats a big difference.

Someone (an enduser) registering a name for 10 dollars is no indication they would have been prepared to pay say 1500 bucks.

if u are smart and profitable then imo u should have made some money not ask for it... but aside from claiming to be better domainer than most... I'm curious how would the legal side contracts etc look like for someone giving u this cash? and would u be willing to give your list to your investor so he can reg and keep all names since he is paying it ..

Can't imagine anybody falling for what you're suggesting.

If you're actually good at it, you buy what you can afford, sell something, reinvest and grow from there. How it's typically done.

Actually, that's my plan. I have 47 domains listed for sale on marketplace.

Till I make a sale, I will reinvest all into registering my new portfolio. I am not desperate for a partner.

I started domaining in January. Irrespective of your talent and background, mistakes are bound to happen with the first portfolio (not quality enough) as a newbie to gain practical domaining experience.

But as at now, the difference is very clear in knowledge, experience and skills.

A trusted domainer with good reputation on namepros will be the custodian of the registered portfolio in his own name. We still have many of such great men here.

Until the investor makes his money back with the expected 50% interest rate, then the whole portfolio will be pushed to my personal account by the custodian. There is no need for any contract.

if I had names to reg I was convinced can sell why offer 50percent interests to people when u can get loans from bank or private or even credit card etc..for a fraction of this interest rate... p.s. it takes years to fine tune domainer skills ... not 6 months.

Reads like you've entered domaining with a lot of enthusiasm but not much of a grip on the reality of domain investing. You say you hold 47 domains, I assume these would be the best 47 of the 630 you've identified.

Then why not progress like any other new domainer. Get those 47 out there on every platform you can and hopefully see just that one sale that gets you to buy maybe the next best 200 of of the 630.

It's not unusual to see large 'proposed-registration' lists get whittled down over time by others registering. I certainly wouldn't read too much into someone else taking a $10 punt on a domain .. It's still a far cry from a $2,000 sale..

If you were putting up 630 REGISTERED good domains as collateral on a short-term loan you'd probably still struggle to raise money the way you seek. My advice would be to stop trying to short-circuit the financing and proceed like any other domainer. If you haven't made a single sale out of that best 47 you hold by the years end then maybe that 630 isn't the golden egg you think it is.

Furthermore. Given all your educational background and business experience, People are going to question how-comes you don't have the relevant income to Gradually build that portfolio that you want. Your proposal isn't the first of this kind. Many have tried similar co-ownership proposals, can't think of any that progressed

Your best bet is to submit those unregistered names to Atom (or similar naming company) and they will register them on your behalf (of course only if they like them). And will give you some percent on each sale.

(I hope this feature is still available there, someone please throw some light).

Registering domains is the easy part. How many domains have you sold?

I can't imagine that a domain investor is going to put up $4,500 with the max upside of $2,250 and no guarantees.

It's a major leap to assume that you are going to turn a profit in (6) months. It could end up just being a total loss.

I have been in the field for a long time and there is no way I could guarantee a return with this business model.

I think you need a proof of concept to possibly get someone interested.

What happens if the domains sell after December 31st 2024, does this mean that the domain investor would lose $4,500 and you keep all the profits?

Of course no. Until the domain investor recover his total invested capital and interest rate, the whole portfolio won't be pushed to my account to take full ownership by the custodian.

I submitted three 5L unregistered names on Atom two days ago but no update.

I think Atom has stopped the feature. Their marketplace is even saturated with random made-up word domains resulting in low STR, so there is no incentive for them to continue such feature unlike 3-4 years ago.

You are a very experienced domainer. But you need to understand that individuals are different. Some are fast learners and have the natural skillset of domaining while some don't and will continue to struggle till they give up. It's life.

Of course every newbie irrespective of your talent, creativity and educational background MUST make mistakes with their first portfolio (not quality enough most times) to gain practical experience. It's expected as domaining is a distinct industry.

Those that will succeed will learn from their mistakes quickly and finetune their skills towards second portfolio. While some will keep making losses for years and till they quit.

It's all about attention to details and what you are bringing to the table in the industry.

Hmm, with that post above. It reads like your equally looking for somebody to loan-finance your learning-curve. If you put a few of your domains that you've registered up for Appraisal. If they are as good as you think, then you may find you've sparked some interest

I emphasized I am not DESPERATE for a partner. It's a proposal. Courtesy demands I reply messages directed at me on this thread. The appraisal section is for those that don't know what they are doing. A lot of $0 value domains by newbie on that section seeking to be appraised by pros. It's ridiculous.

I just bought a house with all my savings in my country. We have nothing like mortgages in my country. I have a full time job as a senior financial analyst. It's just a matter of time I saved up my salaries and invest some into registering the domain portfolio.

It reminds me of my own topic and other attempts to sell a secret knowledge, to domainers and companies, and I gave up because I realized how they will regret later, but it will be too late for most of them.
That is why even don't try, let them come to you.
It's very hard to convince them into such thing, but they give their vote easy for and advertised democrat or republican, you need to have great exposure on TV to make them believe you. LOL

You will learn the fastest if you invest with your own money, so I highly recommend this at the beginning of your domain investing journey.

That is a horrible deal, put up 4500 to make 2550 in 6 month without any guarantee, you did claim to be a financial analyst , would you advise your client to take such a deal?
