I am helping up my brother's in managed his snapnames purchased. Recently I just found out that I have wrongly pushed his domain names in his enom.com account to other user. When I send an support ticket to enom, they just replied me that

Normally we cannot reverse pushes: you would need to ask the recipient to push the domains back to you.

when i contact the recipient by email even though i call him directly, he was denied / refused that he has received my domain. But he is lie. He update my domain to his name already.

Now i was so panic and felt very embarrassed to my brother, what can i do o get the name back............. :'(

If I'm not mistaken, he said : " I didn't received any email regarding that, I am very busy and everyday I will received a lot of junk mail. I cannot care it. What are you mentioned about domain, I'm not understand what are you speak about. I am no more using Enom, currently I am using Godaddy."

He is lie....and he own an insurance company in Lafayette.....

So let me get this straight, you push some domains to some guys account, then accuse him of stealing your domains when he denies knowing anything about it.

The way I see it, the whois would have changed automatically, and from what you have said about your correspondence thus far, it seems that he doesnt speak good english, doesnt use his enom account any more, and may not even realise what has happened if hes not an experienced domainer.

You mention he owns an insurance company. This most likely means he belongs to a governing body of his business. Industries such as insurance, security, banking, legal etc. require it's members to maintain a certain ethical practice in both private and business affairs.

Report this, with all facts in tact and in an amicable light for both parties, to his licensing board for ethics review. They may have the leverage to motivate this person to act in a more ethical manor.

The new owner has already taken a position. That he is unaware of the transaction. It should be easy for the facts to reveal if he in fact has no knowledge or has acted unbecoming his organizations standards. (lied)

If you present this in a way that will preserve the option for the new owner to bow out gracefully he just might. Assume he is unaware and treat it as if you are trying to bring it to his attention.

Maybe adding the teasing fact that in today's cyber security(less) world, of identity theft, some one may be trying to gain access to his (new owner) business or using his identity for surreptitious purposes. And that the issue should be looked into to protect all parties. By showing his (new owner) comments in his email that he is unaware of the transaction may work against him.

One more thing ..... please take up the offer to have someone assist you with the email. He has a foot to stand on in that he may not understand you. Or that you are not presenting him with a viable option. I mean who are you to him? How would he know you are the previous owner? I've had people try to scam me out of a name by telling me, "It accidently dropped" or "The registrar made a mistake". In one sad case a gentleman told me "I was serving in Iraq" and couldn't renew it. In those cases I made contact with the previous owners and found they had not contacted me in regards and the inquiries were just scam attempts.

Thank You. Thank you....

FINALLY we managed to get back the names.

Thank you for everyone being helping me in sorting out my problem.
Especially thank you to the Name Pros's team for being setting up this good site for me to communicate my problem to the Domain Expert.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Last 2 days, I sent another email to enom's support, explained to them that I cannot manage to communicate with the new domain owner and ask for their help by contacting him directly.

I just received the reply this morning, said that they can make an exception for me as I cannot contact the account owner.

When I checked our enom account few minutes ago, the 4 domain names was back.

Just curious, did enom get them for you, or did the insurance guy push them back ?

eNom likely reversed the pushes.

And as eNom should, since eNom's push system has no verification mechanism - that is to say, one can all too easily accidently push domains to the wrong account at eNom - it likely happens a lot more than people realize.

but the fact that they did push back can also mean that anyone can claim "accidental push by mistake", sell domain get money and than get domain back as well. I am not talking about this certain case in the topic, but that they did push back is making me worry buying domains registered with enom.

That's why one should do transactions via trackable escrow (ie. escrow.com) and/or have written dually signed contract; proof of purchase / sale.

eNom and other registrars typically don't undo pushes / transfers, but will do so, if it appears to be a mistake, as it was in this instance.

On a related note, in the fine print of most registrar agreements, it states that one is to have some documentation (ie. agreements, contracts, etc) on file for any registrant name (ownership) changes to forestall challenges by other parties.

I must have just missed you in chat...

durn...

just so you and everyone know - when you come into chat
just because there are alot of names on the right... that doesn't
mean they are all realllllllly there.... many of us sign in to chat
and just have it there - in the background while we are on other
windows working on things...and don't always see what's going on
in chat...

just in case you or anyone ever comes to chat - and says something
to me... and I don't respond... THAT would be the reason...

- - - - and a SPECIAL note to Sylvia - the gal that started this THREAD...
so glad to hear you got the domain names back... (smile)
