Personally I don’t get the CVCV hype. Sure there is a limited combination of them out there but unless they are pronounceable and look good to the eye anything else outside the English speaking world they have no use as such as QUKU.com for example(I am not saying this is a bd name just using an example). Why would anyone want to pay X,XXX for a CVCV just because it is CVCV when there are so many more beautiful and desirable LLLL.com’s out there that make more sense and cost hundreds less.. Take for example QUZU.com ;P but put Nool.com or PPLM.com ect.. Why should they not be as highly collectable then a non useful CVCV?
It may be possible that our CVCV.com's are ugly in other Countries and our non prem LLLL.coms are highly desirable

Just a thought :)

I generally agree with you, Domi ... perhaps this should be best discussed in the new "Short" Domain Discussion© Forum, IMHO. :talk:

Folk's overwhelmingly requested a dedicated "LLLL" Forum™, etc. :gl: :imho:

Personally, I think it's a good thing and leaves the #1 Namepros Domain Discussions© less cluttered, humbly. :talk:
Just my two sense.

Domi, I generally agree, though why is your name CVCV when it could have been a great DMIO instead of hyped CVCV DOMI? :)

It is always nice when the name can be pronounced, regardless of the letters it is made of...
Depending on the use QUZU > PPLM (ie. cool > boring)

It's better than the other TLD areas which are full of hot-air enthusiasts.

CVCV.com combinations have solid potential. Even with odd combinations they are in general pronouncable. Short, brandable, and pronouncable...the 3 holy grails in domaining.

It is all a game of trends.

Most good ones which are pronounceable are in CVCV pattern

Plus some recent data shows that CVCV are selling as hot cakes so maybe that is the reason. Its more speculation then domaining right now.

As most of the CVCV are pronounceable the buyers don't think twice.

I would rather call it as a pronounceable 4 letter .com sales then CVCV sales.

So would you open a restaurant based on raw potatoes if you had 2 people like them? Of course not. You want a product with BROAD appeal. You want products that are going to have a high chance of being wanted by an end-user. CVCV is more desirable than most 4L's.

If i have a sale do you think i am going to tell the enduser dont buy it ...... it's not cvcv !!!!!!! the post says 'if the enduser wants it' as i said if it is a sale who cares if cvcv or not ,,,,,,, read the post properly next time
