I am just about ready to undertake my minisite career. One problem.I have no idea what it entails.Sound familiar?

Well I am all up for a challenge and as ive aquired close to 200 domains now,its time to make them pay their way.

I was considering buying dreamweaver to start making my website, but I used the trial and got some decent looking pages, but their was way too much info in their that boggled my head.So I am scrapping that idea.Is there any products out their more suited to easy to understand functions? If so could you tell me where they are please.

Thankyou.. shane mac

Yes, there is Microsoft FrontPage. FrontPage was part of MS Office XP and is now discontinued. If you have office XP it will be in that disc. Or if you have office xp installed it is likely to be installed along with word and excel.

FrontPage is simillar to to MS word and is very easy to use. Basically you will have to create tables to shape page layouts. One small tip: create tables inside other tables for complicated layouts, otherwise tables might act weird.

The table layout is now old fashioned and people use dreamweaver with css layouts. In short there are two main ways to go:

1. the old way: MS front page and table layout
2. the new way: Adobe Dreamweaver and CSS layout

Try the old way. It will be more than enough for minisites.

You can do a lot with a few posts on a WordPress site. It takes only a couple of minutes to install with the automatic installers the hosting companies use. Write a couple of posts about what the site content will be and go on to the next one. They will get indexed and in a year or so you can revisit them and do something more impressive.

I would recommend wordpress or drupal. Since it is minisite,it would be better customizing some free templates than designing. You can concentrate more on the contents instead.

I use Hostgator for my purposes. They will have anything you'll need under the sun, and pretty good support, in my opinion.

That being said, you can always browse around Web Hosting Discussion - NamePros.com to see more reviews to see more reviews, or Web Hosting Requests - NamePros.com for hosting offers from NP members.

Also, you can take a look on google, one of my first results was Hosting Review: Web hosting comparison site rates, reviews best web hosting companies .
Hope you'll find something useful.

200 sites will be a lot of work...

If you cant figure how to get word press working there are many peeps here that will load it up for you for $5-$10 each site...then add your posts and paste adsense code and your off.

I would start with 5 sites until you figure it out!

good luck
