Suggest you read through the Forum, searching out posts and threads on the buying and selling of domain names and, you might read threads on " flipping " names.

Be patient in buying names and invest only money you can afford to loose if you cannot sell your domain name/s.

Most people IMO strive to make more than $20. per name and still most " don't make big profits " in the overall scheme of buying and selling although each person likely defines " big profits " differently.

Acquisition costs, renewal fees, sales - platform fees if any, possible legal fees if any, taxes if applicable, etc , can surely reduce profits.

Welcome to NamePros @kevinspec The best way to go about this is learn what is a good name and what is not. The brandable space has a relatively low cost entry point.

To sell names even for $20 here they have to be good names and worth more than that. Good luck to you.
