WoW thats a really nice design! Did you do it?
As for the ads the color and stuff is good (unless you want to point them out so you should put something else) i would just make them kinda bigger (showing more ads..)

REMOVE THOSE ADSENSE FRAMES!!! Seriously, do something about the ads. Blend them into your site. That's the single most thing you can do to get more clicks. CTR can go from 0.5% (crappy) to 4% (pretty good) just by blending. Make Adsense links the same colors as your sites links.

How can one remove the frame "outline" on adsense ads?

you sure youre not in violation of adsense policy in the amount of ads on a single page??

Customize the color so the border color is the same color as the ad background color/site background color
