Hi ,
i am new to adsense and want some information about it.
My site is generating 4000 to 6000 page impressions daily and daily 5 to 6 clicks are done but my earning is quite low like 0.80 or 1.20 maximum .
My page ctr is too low .
I want to what is the ctr and how to increase earnings.

If you look in your Adsense account under reports, the Page CTR (click through rate) will show up along with the page impressions, earnings and other data.

If your earnings are low and you have lots of visitors, it is likely that the CPC or cost per click is low. You can get a general idea of CPC in the free Google Adwords Tool.

So you have several choices. Either get more traffic so you get many more clicks OR find some higher earning keywords that relate to your site.
You can make pages using these higher earning keywords and drive traffic to them or you can tweak the pages you already have to include those higher earning keywords.

Hope this helps!

If you want to increase traffic of your web site, use social media for this purpose. People are getting high traffic via social media sites.Once you get very high traffic then automatically ratio and number of clicks will increase.
Thanks

You have plenty of traffic, that's a very poor CTR. If you had even as little as a 1% CTR you would be making 10x what you are now. Are the ads well targeted to the page? What about other pages? Sounds like either you're getting crap traffic or the ads have nothing to do with whatever attracted the visitors to your site in the first place.

As for EPC (btw, against TOS to publicly disclose your account stat details), could be one of several things:

1) Low bids or low competition for your page topic
2) Smart pricing because your account wasn't converting OR the better paying advertisers are manually blocking ads from displaying on your site
(Signs of these are if you WERE making more and had a dramatic drop in earnings)
3) If you have several ad blocks on a page, the highest bidders will be in the first position and lowest bidders in the last. Maxing out adsense blocks is NOT always the best thing to do. Example: if visitors scroll down your page, say "Meh", and click something at the bottom....
