Adsense Quest.

Had an adsense acct for absolutely ages.

Never used it cos (and im a little embarresed here) cant fathom out how to get targeted ads on my site.

Every time i put up adsense, i just get this public service c*ap that doesnt relate.

I see on there it says enter an URL if you want to change these ads but i cant work it out..

Help??

It should be ready to go when you upload your pages. I have had one occasion where it took a couple hours and I have had one occasion where it absolutely would not show. But its about a military plane so probably not a lot of advertisers for that I suppose.

Anyway, does your page have enough text and are you copying the adsense code exactly?

I don't understand what you mean... "on there" , where do you see this message?
