How valid is premiumdomain.com score??

Hi Guys,

I just checked sone of my domain names at premiumdomain.com. Is it worth wile to consider it's score?

I got a 260 score for some of my domains.. how much money can I ask for that score?

Value is not based on Score. For Example I just sold AffordableAttorneys<dot>com for just over 3k and I believe it recieved a score of barely 100.

Although it can be used as an indicator of potential value, it is not completely accurate and scores do not reflect accurately reflect market value.

Honestly, it doesnt make a whole lot of sense. When registering a domain name to build or for resale, one of my primary checks is what would I develop it into? The first issue is what would you use BlackMale.com for? now .mobi?

My recommendations are to stick with primary TLD's and specifically stick with .com - although .mobi is selling, I still dont see as much development in the tld to start investing heavily. I think next year you will see some prime names dropping in this extension when the hype wears off.

Also, I might recommend tracking down older or expiring domain names and buying those as opposed to fresh registrations or even obscure TLDs. There is definetly a market and good value to be found.

Although most domain appraisal services opt to provide their best estimate, it is always best to remember an enduser tend to pay more for a domain they desire.

I wouldn't mind owning BlackMale.com Definitely a lot of development potential there. Blackmale.mobi however is probably not worth much.

PremiumDomains is about as accurate as LeapFish... Which is not very...

To me its score is meaningless... I'm starting to see people post this in their sales threads "Premium Certified" by blah blah, kinda makes me laugh especially when the name listed for sale isnt even worth reg fee in the real domainer/reseller world.

The bottom line is, nobody buys a domain based purely on a fancy looking appraisal from a third party. To them, only their opinion matters, so forget about appraisal altogether, its all completely futile.
