I'm going to opt out of .TV (and just about every other extension but .com) and wonder how much i should ask for:

CreditHelp.TV -
according to PremiumDomain.com - Certified Premium Domain - Score 471

and Affair.TV

Any tips, opinions and help is appreciated.

Thanks,

IB

why are you getting out of .tv?

With the exception of the ones that are developed and the ones that generate parking revenue, i'm selling all my domains, starting over from scratch.
I'm certain this extension has a bright future, it just doesn't seem that it's my future as i can't seem to attract any buyers (investors or endusers) at all.

Thus, i'm asking for the evaluation since i'm most likely going to base my sedo auction values upon it.

My opinion is if you are looking for more than say 100 for credithelp.tv you probably won't be getting it right now.

The market, with the exception of recent sales, is very very soft for tv right now. The sales that are taking place:
bisexuals.tv $210
Telmex.tv $25,000
WebCameras.tv $1,150
defy.tv $8,000
webb.tv $135
cash.tv $9,000
LuxuryCars.tv $1,505
oral.tv $2,850
fantasias.tv $1,330
Sold.tv $1,650

These names are for the most part VERY specific or keywords. Bisexuals went for $210. Sold went for under 2K.

People are just not sold on tv right now so with the recent sales being the exception, names like credithelp are going for $5 on tdnam.

Now affair? You might be able to pull low $xxx for that one.

In other words, i'd be getting out way too early...

People get in and out as needed for their own reasons, so one could make the argument that 10 years from now, nice names will be much more expensive then they are today so you would be getting out early. One could also make the point that the people running tv could make the whole thing collapse so take what you can get and run.

Personally, I am going to dump most of my none tv, and a large portion of the tv I have now, and concentrate on building up a handful of sites. I have spent way too much time the last year buying names, and would really like to get my total number of domains to under 20 and just work on those. That way I can be more of a power user/developer than trying to be a domainer/developer/salesman/snake oil pusher/banker/broker/blah blah blah.

I'm following the EXACT same strategy, just coined a bit more towards .com domains. So, back to the original thought process of selling off the majority of my portfolio and hoping that i'd get some cash back.
