Here is a updated tutorial on how to watermark your designs.

first.PNG

Firstly start off with your design.

second.PNG

Put text over the main area you want to protect, I have used my username for namepros, You could use your website name, real name, Its up to you.

third.PNG

Now highlight your text and go to Layer > Layer style > Blending Options

fourth.PNG

Your main aim is to slide the Opacity bar to the left till its faded to your liking.

If you also wanted to make it alot easier without doing that everytime you could make that a action by making a new action then starting from the start and watermarking it then stopping it, Then it auto does it for you :tu:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
What happened to the old one Vasily made?

i use the other watermark tutorial for my watermarks, i think it looks better when the watermark is patterned, rather then one line of text across the image, i would post the old watermark tut as well.

If all you do is add a translucent layer, it's pretty easy to remove, especially if it's a single color.
