how to use overture tool to find domains that pays regfee?

I am not trying to find the next big hit name, I just want to experiment to
find a name that can pay its regfee through parking.

So I went to:
http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/

type in xxx yyy zzz, and say it has overture value of 100 (I think it is 100 per month), then I register xxxyyyzzz.com, how likely this domain would generate
parking revenue to at least pay the regfee? If overture 100 is not high enough, then how high it should be? Notice that xxxyyyzzz.com would return zero overture value (the keyword with space xxx yyy zzz has nonzero value).

My own experiment:
I registered two names futureReadySchool.com and ReadyFuture.com
Future Ready School has overture of 85, but it received zero traffic.

Am I doing something wrong?

85 searches a month is very little and does your listing come up top? Those searching for the KW would most likely go to the ones listed in the SE. do you have a page up?

no, it does not come up top on SE.

I am just trying to estimate what is a good overture number when choosing a domain name to park. If 85 is low, what about 200 or 1000? I found some keyword names with 200 or 1000 (but with zero overture for xxxyyyzzz.com), but can not decide whether it will be a good name that will have natural traffic.

minimum searches from OVT results to see even modest traffic of 100 uniques would have to be 300K + WO ext

anything over 50K W ext would / should generate modest traffis but not all that much, You must remember that OVT results are an indicator as to what was searched and how many times per month and OVT has a nasty habit of including single word within multi word results this means

domain OVT 333,333
Domain Registrations 666,666 Domain #'s will be included in this number

thanks for your reply. It not easy to find high OVT unregistered names. So
that is why I lowered my goal to just to make the regfee. I now found some
names for 1K OVT WO ext, another one is 30K OVT WO ext but is "YYY XXX ZZZ" instead of "XXX YYY ZZZ". Is 30K out of the order name is better than a name with 1K with correct order?

You might want to try using the Overture tool with the domain name AND the extention. ie: cartrader.com

It will give you more reliable results (but use as a guide, not an end all). If the result shows nothing ...usually means the name will get little or know traffic. The higher the number, the more likely traffic.

http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/?term=namepros.com

http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/?term=onlinecreditreport.com

There is a lot more to take into account, but this is a start.

I have loads of .com domains with between 10,000 and 50,000 overture results that recieve no traffic. Unless you have a spectacular domain overture results without the extension are not going to save you until you develop a two or three word domain
