Can anyone tell where to find good resources on how to start a PPC business? I mean, how and where does one connect with advertisers who are willing to pay money for traffic you redirect to them?

well alot of advertisers pay a % of the sale, as far as ppc there is google adsense and adbrite that both sort of act as a middleman and allow you to put up a banner and then any advertiser buying clicks for whatever keyword you are targeting can show their ads on that banner and you get paid per click at the rate that those advertisers bid for those clicks.

Personally, I would opt for Adsense as my PPC platform. It's the most profitable PPC program out there. But in order to be successful, you need to optimize your site and make sure to use the right keywords.

I also think Yahoo is a good alternative to Adwords. It is true that it serves not as many research as Google does, but you pay less and after all you get some sales/leads.

Yahoo also works for low budget campaigns and/or if you just wanna give a try to PPC.
